if memory were to fail me mere moments of things said i'd cradle them in the deepest depths of my guarded heart i'd carry them to the sea upon a weary wave they'd sail & come back to me in sweet reverie
SARAH! i was just rereading your work, and i swear we have twin brains (this analogy would work better if you didn't already have a twin, but you are my brain twin in this case). because i was writing about memory (in the more personal section of my journal), and this mirrors exactly how i was feeling about this subject. mine's less of a poem/just my thoughts after i wrote something else.
"I'm just searching for moments, and even if one is surrounded by negativity, no one can take away the beauty of a moment. Our memories are what shape our character and our future actions. Mine are now preciously guarded."
P.S. this poem is amazing and conjures up so many beautiful images for me. you amaze me, friend. that's it. goodnight and sorry for writing a novel in the other comment :p
